Sime Darby Oils Morakot Public Company Limited
This is achieved by focusing on supporting the project through the cost of handling PET (Polyethyene Terephthalat) plastic bottles to be recycled into the recycling process according to the company policy that focuses on the Circular Economy.
With bottles of vegetable oil under the brand “Morakot” that is currently distributed in PET plastic that can be recycled, the company is aware of its social responsibility by recycling plastic supplies in the system to be efficient and have minimal impact on the environment.
Project Results
From May 1– November 30,2022 the total amount of PET bottles is 43,266.396 kilograms.

Within 5 months since the project began, 43,266.396 kilograms of PET plastic bottles have been received, resulting in a 124,840.859 kilogram reduction in carbon dioxide. In April, a total of 589 participants donated PET bottles, which can be compared to the planting of more than 13,141 trees and the number of participants before the project began. Following Sime Darby Oils Morakot Public Company Limited’s collaboration with Recycling Day Company Limited, interest in handling PET bottles and other forms of waste increased by up to 100 persons per month. This clearly demonstrates that society is becoming more conscious of the separation and management of recyclable waste and desires to build a society with no waste in the future.
